A sensible pathway has decision points: initial assessment, a defined proposal, informed consent, procedure-specific aftercare and continuity after you return home. Timelines vary by clinic and procedure.

1. Prepare a focused enquiry

Write down your diagnosis or main concern, what you hope to change, previous treatment and your questions. Gather relevant reports and a medication list. Ask the clinic how it accepts records securely, who reviews them and whether it can provide a consultation in English or with an interpreter.

Do not upload private medical records to public review pages or general search fields. This platform does not collect medical records.

2. Ask for a medical proposal

Request an assessment from the clinician responsible for the procedure. The proposal should name the preparation, route, intended use, alternatives and uncertainties. Clarify whether an in-person examination or further tests may change it.

Use the consultation checklist to record answers. A remote quote or a coordinator’s availability confirmation is not a final medical recommendation.

3. Review the commitment before booking

Obtain an itemized estimate, cancellation terms and the required time nearby. Ask what happens if you are unsuitable after examination. Arrange an interpreter if needed and check travel insurance directly with your insurer.

Compare clinics using the same scope. Include collection, processing, administration, anesthesia where applicable, medication and follow-up. Do not compare an initial appointment price with a full treatment course.

4. Confirm consent and aftercare in person

Before treatment, confirm that the proposed procedure is still the one you agreed to discuss. Ask for time to read the consent form and to resolve any change in product, route or cost. Get written recovery instructions and an emergency contact.

Ask who will assess you before discharge and what findings would require a longer stay or a change in travel plans. No universal recovery or safe-to-fly interval is assumed here.

5. Keep continuity after returning home

Leave with a treatment summary, relevant results, medication instructions and product details. Know which follow-up contacts are remote and which require an examination. Ask how your usual clinician can obtain records with your permission.
